About Windisle

I bought my first wheaten in 1989. That was my famous Soft Hawk Benjamin. He had a super temperament, lovely silky coat with colour and a nice body. He is the most titled wheaten in Sweden ever, champion in five countries, Nordic and International champion, several winner titles, among them European winner and Swedish Derby Winner. He is the father of 75 offspring in 13 litters. He became almost 13 years.

My first bitch was Ch Movin On Piper Cherokee. She was a daughter of Soft Hawk Benjamin and she had two litters.

My next important dog was Wheaten Rebel’s Rock Me Ruby. I imported her from Germany and the famous kennel Wheaten Rebel’s. She became Nordic and International champion and won titles and big wins in several countries. She also became Swedish Derby Winner. She was pure Irish from the famous Newkilber lines. She had a super personality and was absolutely adorable. She gave me four very nice litters with many champions. The C-litter with Soft Hawk Benjamin is the most successful litter, five champions and three of them are International. Ruby is still the bitch in Sweden who has produced most champions. Ruby became almost 11 years.

From the C-litter I kept Ch Windisle Champagne, Skumpan. She got four litters, some still very young. Among the most successful are Nordic and Int Ch Windisle Hillcrest and her sister Ch Windisle Hermitage. Their litter brother Nord and Int Ch Windisle Don Hugo was 2005 best Male of the year and best group winner of the year.

Another well known son of Skumpan is Am Ch Windisle Medoc, who in a short time became champion in USA and also won a Speciality.

In Canada lives litter sister Ch Windisle Marsanne who wins lots of big wins there.

Windisle Don Hugo, International and Nordic champion, is just now very fortunate as a stud dog in Sweden and abroad with very succesful offspring. His first progeny group was BIS –1 at a big Terrier Speciality here 2006. He has champions in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Russia, USA and Australia.

In the kennel, but not living with me, are Ruby’s daughter Kefraya, Lindywheat’s Hot Cappucino, son of Hugo, and another son of Hugo, Windisle Leo Buring.

I have also kept Windisle Number One from Skumpan's last litter.

My newest dogs are two imports. From Denmark I got Danterri Wheaten Archiebald, called Kasper. He lives very close to my house. From Germany I got Wheaten Rebel's Little Lukas, called Lukas. He was born May 2007 and he lives here with me and Skumpan.

The name of my kennel is made up from the name of the island, where I used to have my country house, Island of winds, Windisle. All my dogs are named after wines, since that is my other very deep interest in life.
